28th January 2020
It was a great start! PHBS UK started the year meeting students from all over the world.
The University of Birmingham hosted the PostGrad Live Study Fair, one of the UK’s biggest and busiest postgraduate study fairs, on the 29th of January, and we were there! PHBS UK was one of the international high education institutions that attended the Fair.
Our booth was quite popular! The students that were interested in our programmes came from many different countries. Our expert staff had the chance to meet and speak with students from Nigeria, Ghana, Indonesia, Korea, India, Gambia, Poland, Germany, and, of course, the United Kingdom.
Because international study is exciting, but can also be challenging and even daunting, PHBS UK also joined the “Talk Programmes”.
It was an opportunity to speak directly with students about studying abroad, funding, fees, and providing tips for moving to a new country for a postgraduate degree. And, as we do have Cross-Border Master Degrees (Finance and Management), one year in the UK and the second year in China, and an MBA that also allows students to be in China for a small period of time, this was a great opportunity to explain this unique experience that we can provide to our students.
With studies split between Oxford and Shenzhen, the students will have the top ranking British academic environment for one year, and a privileged insight into the Chinese market for another year, with one of the highest ranked universities in the world. And don’t forget that Peking University may still provide financial support, at the end of your master’s degree, if you present a very good business proposition! Professor Guy Liu, the Director of PHBS UK, had a conversation with the audience about “going abroad”, founding, and the “benefits of international study”
If you are thinking about taking a master’s study, meet us for the next fair in Liverpool, on the 12th February. You will find everything you need to know about our programmes, get all the funding information and receive tips about the application process. The fair runs from 12pm - 3pm, and you can drop in at any time during the event to speak to one of our representatives. You will find us at The Guild of Students, University of Liverpool, L69 3BX.
In the UK, we will also be in Postgrad Live Southampton, on the 19th February (at the Garden Court, University of Southampton, SO17 1BJ) and in Edinburgh, Scotland, on the 25th February (McEwan Hall, Teviot Pl, University of Edinburgh, EH8 9AG).
If this is not convenient for you, if you are not in the UK, there is still another option: We will be in Brussels, on the 15th February, at the POLITICO’s 21st EU Studies and Career Fair – Brussels 2020. The Fair will be at the Crowne Plaza Le Palace Brussels (1210 Brussel).
So, just come and meet our expert staff at one of these events. We will be please to meet you, answer all your questions, help out with any issue you might have. We are waiting for you!
